Twittering away…9 months of microblogging…in 140 characters or less

“Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”

Twittering is like sending a telegraph or writing a haiku. Over time, the messages accrete, and the rhythms of a life become discernable. At least, that’s what they say.

September 02, 2008 About to have a root canal in two hours. Thank goodness tooth #20 waited until I returned home from Africa!

August 29, 2008 Back home from Southern Africa. Heart and soul not blocked by cell phones at the ready there. Unpacking. Dreaming of the Delta.

July 30, 2008 Shopping for my trip to Africa! South Africa and Botswana for three weeks in August!

July 28, 2008 Pop and I just got back from a family reunion.

July 23, 2008 My brother Gary cooked an all-garden dinner…everything but the brats, he grew….corn, potatoes, squash, green beans, beets.

July 23, 2008 Louis and Evan came for supper. Evan and Pop played their hearts out on their violins.

July 22, 2008 Took Pop to his first garden party yesterday. He was a star!

July 20, 2008 Pop and I just launched “Gems of Yesterday” at Godfrey Congregational Church with music, stories, poetry, memories.

July 18, 2008 On Blogtalk Radio Saturday 11 a.m. with poetry and music from upcoming audiobook for “Sightlines: A Poet’s Diary.”

July 18, 2008 Pop and I chatted on “Let’s Talk” WBG 1570 Z about “Gems of Yesterday: The Poetry and Philosophy of Bee Lewis” and played music from that era.

July 18, 2008 Went to an Obama community organizing meeting at Ron Gregory’s just around the corner in St. Louis.

July 18, 2008 Burned the green beans I carefully prepared from my brother’s garden.

July 16, 2008 Just had the most social week of my life in N. California. Carol Cole Lewis’ Eggplant Parm. IS yum!
