Ecology Tip of the Day: Eliminate unwanted catalogs, simplify your life, save natural resources at Catalog Choice.org

By Janet Grace Riehl • Jan 25th, 2008 • Category: Village Commons

While setting up my apartment in the Central West End in St. Louis after my move from Northern California, I ordered some furniture over the web. The company apparently sold my contact information to all the catalog companies in the world, and suddenly, my mailbox was beseiged by unsolicited mail from eager merchants.

If you, like me, find yourself receiving unwanted catalogs and want to stop this dreadful waste of natural resources, human energy, and money…now there is something you can DO! Contact:
www.catalogchoice.org and follow their clear directions on how to decline the unwelcome catalogs arriving at your doorstep
and piling up so high you cannot even enter the door some days.
